A professor at a Swedish university is offering a doctoral studentship concerning electron diffraction research. Electron diffraction is a novel, significant technique that exposes atomic structures of materials ranging from inorganic to organic, and to macromolecular ones.  laying bare atomic composition of these materials has significant industrial implications (i.e., medical use). The prospective Ph.D. student will need to develop relevant software for data collection and establish protocols (procedures) during electron diffraction, as well as implement machine learning (ML) techniques for phase and structural analyses. Application deadline: April 20, 2021. Interested students please leave a message below this post.
