A professor at a Swedish university is providing a doctoral studentship position in relation to electron crystallography research (particularly for new drug development). As a recent scientific breakthrough, electron diffraction is able to expose materials’ composition at nano levels. However, accurately positioning small molecules within a target protein and analyzing the affinity between ligands and the target protein remain a significant challenge. As such, the prospective doctoral student will focus his/her research on ligand-protein interaction with specific emphases on sample preparation, data acquisition and analysis (during electron diffraction). Application deadline: April 20, 2021. Interested students please leave a message below this post.
